This work was created for the Food as Activism group show at The LAB in SF in 2006. The multi-media installation also included footage shot by Greg Young of Golden Bear Casting about my snail driven pursuit for poison-free lifestyles. My grandmother, a big influence in my creative path, used to make art with painted nails. The video viewer sits on the snailshell skateboard (shell sewn by Heidi Armour), experiencing the sacrificial fate of the beloved, high-protien snail. Let's go snailing!
